Worship Ministry
Worship is at the very heart of everything we do here at Marietta First, with music playing a vital role. We would characterize our worship style as "blended" in that we incorporate a broad range of musical styles and tastes. Our passion, however, is not to satisfy ourselves with styles and preferences, but to please the One who created worship for Himself! Worship is for God alone. It is not about what we get out of it, rather it is all about what we bring to God.
Worship goes much deeper than what we experience together in corporate worship on Sundays and Wednesdays... worship is a lifestyle! Our corporate worship is never going to exceed what takes place in our every-day lives. The way we live our lives day to day should be an act of worship that is pleasing to God. Romans 12:1 says, "And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all He has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-- the kind He will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship Him." (NLT)
